In an adaptation of the beloved Australian story “Waltzing Matilda”, we follow the story of the Swagman as he reflects upon his love of Matilda and the repercussions of his past actions.

From script to final composition, I lead the production of this project in a small team of two. Original character designs and environments inspired by the Australian 18th century tale.

The focus for this short was storytelling. Our aim was to retell the story as an animated short accompanied to dynamic instrumentals of the song.
